The original fabric was used as a lining of a ladies silk jacket once belonging to Kajsa Lisa Petrenia. She was born 1776 in a family of priests and school masters in Tjuda, in the Swedish speaking parts of western Finland. The cotton fabric is block printed in brick red on originally white ground. The lining can be dated to the 1780-ies, but the place of manufacture is unknown. The jacket has a somewhat old fashioned cut and is made from a silk with wide stripes of lace and bunches of flowers dating to same period as the lining.
